Mektoub ! is a response to certain socio-political conditions in the world as we saw it in late 2002. And, in the case of the opening cut 'Lokum', it also highlighted the group's love of North African music and culture. As with the Radio Prog EP, Mektoub ! offers previously unreleased tracks not available on any full-length release by The Dry Heeves.
